Finding useful information on the World Wide Web is at times taken granted by many of us. As per an internet research there are around 150,000,000 active websites on the internet. Search engine uses complex algorithm to complete the assigned task.
As we all know Google changes its search algorithm frequently around 500-600 times a year. Most of the changes are minor, while some of them are really major ones. These major updates like Penguin and Panda have affected the search engine results in a significant way. Being aware of these Google updates can largely help in ranking and gaining organic website traffic. Google has again come up with a new update.
He has recently announced that that the latest Panda update will happen in the forthcoming 2 to 4 weeks. This will not be an algorithm update, like the way we saw in 4.0 but rather Google is simply refreshing the underlining data of the algorithm.
Illyes refers to this update as a “Data Refresh” and not algorithmic change thus the websites that have suffered from this algorithm might see a recovery in near future. But all sites won’t see the recovery, some could fail to recover. This data refresh may also hit new sites.
Illyes further stated that it is in the best interest of the Google to keep the data fresh. Thus they want to keep it updated as regularly as possible. Unlike few other algorithms it does need manual updates and currently won’t run on its own.
In the next few weeks, we will cover this Panda update. New sites will get hit. Also Panda victims might see recovery or it can worsen off. We are not pretty sure, but when it is out it should be clear.
